There is no doubt that Rani Mukerji’s Hichki is one of the most heart-warming films of the year. The actress has made a stupendous return to Bollywood after her long break for daughter, Adira. Hichki has already grossed Rs 20 crore at the box office recovering its cost of production and investment. BollywoodLife caught up with the director Siddharth P Malhotra, producer Maneesh Sharma and Rani for the success interviews. Dressed in a beige and red dress with matching crimson heels, Rani looked hot. She was beaming and justifiably so. Critics and audiences have hailed her performance in the film, which talks about a teacher who battles Tourette’s Syndrome. However, she wins over a class of unruly students and shows them the right direction in life, this is what Hichki is all about. At the outset, Rani told us that she was thrilled to see how the film was doing well on word-of-mouth publicity. Filmmaker Siddharth P Malhotra had the script with him since 2013 and it was Yash Raj that green-lit his labour of love. He also told us that Rani was his biggest teacher during the shoot.

In an exclusive interaction, Rani told us how heartened she was to see the response. The actress admitted that it is tough for heroines to make a comeback after embracing motherhood. She is thrilled that her fans have accepted her with open arms. She spoke about Hichki’s first week beating the collections of Tumhari Sulu and Simran. The film has done better than Simran, Mom and Tumhari Sulu.

Rani Mukerji’s Hichki also stars Neeraj Kabi, Supriya Pilgaonkar and Sachin Pilgaonkar in pivotal roles. People have also loved the work of the kids. Actor Harsh Mayar who is known for his work in I Am Kalam has gained appreciation as well. The other kids have also won hearts. It is based on motivational speaker, Brad Cohen’s life and how his speech impairment became his strength. Celebs have also showered love on the film.
