Raid is based on true events which occurred in Uttar Pradesh
After dominating the box office in its opening week, Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’Cruz starrer Raid remained rock-steady in its second week. Despite not being a masala entertainer, the period crime thriller continued to attract the audience thanks to its engaging plot, superb direction and extraordinary star performances. The film collected Rs 3.13 crore and now stands with the grand total of Rs 90.11 crore.
Raid is currently the third highest grosser of 2018 after Ranveer Singh’s Padmaavat and Kartik Aaryan’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Produced under the banners of Panorama Studios and T-Series, the film is directed by Rajkumar Gupta, who previously helmed films like Aamir, No One Killed Jessica and Ghanchakkar. If the film holds well this week, it’ll enter the Rs 100 crore club at the box office. It is currently the third highest grosser of the year after Padmaavat and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.

Raid is based on true events which occurred in Uttar Pradesh and has been inspired by real-life Income Tax raids which were held by Indian Revenue Services back in the ’80s and 90’s. Made on the budget of Rs 45 crore including promotion and advertising, the film has already turned out to be huge success at the box office. Anyway, do you think Raid will beat SKTKS to become the second highest grosser of the year? Share your thoughts in the comment section below…
