It was indeed a good morning today when we read a report of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan coming together for Irrfan Khan. Unless you are living under the rock, you would know that the Piku star is currently undergoing a treatment for neuroendocrine tumour in London and his next release Blackmail is due for release this week. As the actor couldn’t promote his upcoming release, the makers decided to organise a special screening for the three Khans of Bollywood where they will help promote the film. If these reports are true, we would happily cheer for these stars and applaud them for such a sweet gesture. Coming together for another actor’s film in its support is a huge thing and kudos to them for the same.
Last time when these Khans came together for the very first time throughout their career was for the 21st anniversary celebration of Rajat Sharma’s popular talk show, Aap Ki Adaalat. It was the only time in the history of Indian cinema when these Khans were together under a roof and even shared a camaraderie on stage. From SRK and Salman’s witty questions to Rajat Sharma, to Aamir Khan’s awkward dance on Salman’s song, the event turned out to be a happening one, thanks to the trio. Before 2014, it was the premiere of Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots where we saw them together in 2009. Guess these stars have unanimously decided to make such appearances after a gap of every 4-5 years.
While there have been numerous instances when the three Khans of Bollywood have met each other and posed for pictures, one out of three was always missing. It was SRK – Salman at Arpita Khan’s wedding bash, later it was Aamir – SRK in that happy selfie. Get the point? Very rarely do they come together but when they do, the moment is worth all the wait.
