Sona’s next film will be releasing tomorrow
She is fearless, she is strong and she will not back out. She will stand up for what is right, and she is Akira! Sonakshi Sinha’s next film Akira will be releasing tomorrow on September 2 and if the trailer is anything to go by, Akira is all set to beat the sh*t out of anyone who does her any harm. Interestingly Sonakshi enjoyed action more than romance onscreen! Yes, that’s right! This is her full-fledged action film with her as the only lead actor in the film, and Sona has loved every bit of playing Akira onscreen! “I loved doing action more than romance. I think everyone has seen me romancing actors all the time but in Akira I do something that’s totally different..which is why I enjoyed action more.”
Be it Priyanka Chopra’s Mary Kom or Kangana Ranaut’s Queen, Bollywood actresses are getting roles that are meater than their male counterparts. However, in Akira, Sonakshi is the whole and sole of the film. This is her first heroine-centric movie and damn, it looks killer! Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, Akira is Sona’s second film with the film maker after Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty.
