These reunions are the ones we always wanted!
2018 has until now been the year of reunions. A lot of actors are working together after many years. Like Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra are reuniting after 10 years, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit are coming together in films after an eternity perhaps in Kalank and then there’s Madhuri-Anil Kapoor in Total Dhamaal to boot. All this has made the wait for the next few biggies pretty difficult. But there are a few other reunions that are happening which has got us damn excited. There are a few hit actor-director jodis that are coming together in a few days and we can’t keep calm. That’s because every time they come together, they created history. Here’re a few of them
Shah Rukh Khan-Shimit Amin (11 years)
Kabir Khan, hockey coach of Indian Women’s team, made history in a film by winning the World Cup for the team and Shah Rukh Khan gave us the most celebrated film of his career – Chak De! India. Even today people want him to do something similar to that. Well, he obviously can’t assure you that but the good news is, SRK is reuniting with his Chak De India director Shimit Amin for a film. Not much is known about it except for the fact that it’s a two-hero project and a period drama.
Salman Khan-Sanjay Leela Bhansali (11 years)
Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are reuniting for a film and it has come straight from the horse’s mouth. Salman had hinted during his interaction with the press recently that he is doing SLB’s next as and when the director narrates the story. Salman and Bhansali are reuniting after 11 years. Their last film together was Saawariya which released in 2007.
Madhuri Dixit- Indra Kumar (23 years)
Madhuri Dixit is having the most fun these days reuniting with her old colleagues. She is working with Sanjay Dutt in Kalank and Anil Kapoor in Total Dhamaal. The latter also has Ajay Devgn in the cast which means she is working with him after several years as well. But the best was she reunited with director Indra Kumar after 23 years! It doesn’t get bigger than that…does it? Her last film with Kumar was Raja in 1995.
