Salman Khan has his eyes set for future. The actor is busy with his shooting for his movies and at the same time he is making sure that his brand Being Human too gets developed with more successful with each passing day!
Well looks like Salman Khan will soon turn into a successful entrepreneur. The actor who was in Delhi last week to launch the jewellery line for his brand Being Human is now all set to have his own chain of private single screen theatres. Interestingly the actor has even thought of a unique name for this chain. He is planning to call them Salman Talkies. Now that’s what we call a clever decision!

If you guys are thinking that this Salman’s way to mint money considering the movie ticket rates are exorbitant for certain selected movies, then you are highly mistaken. Infact this decision by actor is made for our convenience. Salman feels that, that movie tickets in tier-one cities have gone up to Rs 400-500. A report in leading daily states that the actor feels charging such huge amount for a mere movie ticket is not right. “If a film has to flop, the effect of the loss should be as little as possible. Jai Ho did a business of Rs 138 crore with tickets priced at Rs 200. On weekdays, the prices were down to Rs 100 but since we didn’t publicise this fact, people said, ‘Arey is that the only business? Rs 138 crore is a huge, how many films touch that kind of a figure? Prem Ratan Dhan Payo made Rs 238 crore but since it didn’t make as much money as Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the perception is that it flopped,“ the actor resorted to some serious number-crunching to explain his plan. A spokesperson from his charity cleared the air further. He said that, “If Salman’s film has to hit a double hundred he wants to do it with Rs 100 tickets. If we can’t touch that figure with this plan, we will try again with another film but Salman strongly believes that ticket prices should be brought down,“

Luckily the chain is supposed to start in Diwali this year throughout the state of Maharashtra. As of now, six single screens across Maharashtra have been roped in and more locations are being explored. Post his home state, the actor plans to spread it’s branches in Uttar Pradesh by 2017. A source said that, “He will be lending his name to a theatre chain to promote tax-free viewing. Tickets for films at his theatres will be available at heavily subsidised rates and free for children. Salman will be launching each screen himself.” Also Read: Salman Khan’s instant reaction to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

In an interview with the same daily, Salman had earlier stated that he wants his viewers to have a completely paisa vasool experience.and ticket rates to be brought down to Rs 200-250 for weekends and Rs 120-150 for weekdays, the way it is for regional films. “It’s because of the economics that Marathi films like Natsamrat and Sairat are getting more footfalls. With Hindi films the numbers are higher but we need the footfalls too,“ he had added.

Interestingly Salman’s this chain of theatres will open this Diwali for a reason. He plans to release two big movies – Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay! Now we don’t need to tell you that Salman Khan talkies will definitely excite the viewers to go and watch the movie in the actor’s theatre. Oh God! Why is everyone busy making it difficult for us to wait till October end? This month definitely has lots in store for us all .
