July was a movie-heavy month with two superstars — Salman Khan and Rajinikanth — releasing their films. August 2016 brings in its wake a clash of Bollywood big names. Hrithik Roshan’s Indus Valley saga Mohenjo Daro will clash with Akshay Kumar’s long-awaited Rustom on August 12.
Both are hyped films with big names attached to them. While Ashutosh Gowariker is directing Mohenjo Daro where he is introducing Pooja Hegde, Rustom will see Ileana D’ Cruz as the heroine. Akshay plays a naval officer and the movie is based on the Nanavati Murder Case of the 60s. This one is a romance-thriller.
That is not all that August holds. Diana Penty and Abhay Deol will make a comeback of sorts with Happy Bhaag Jayegi in August . The film which also stars Ali Fazal and Jimmy Shergill is an India-Pakistan film with a feel which is all Tanu Weds Manu. Do we have a sleeper hit on hands on August 19?
The month’s last Friday, August 26, will bring along India’s very own desi superhero, Tiger Shroff in and as A Flying Jatt. A turbaned and bearded Tiger Shroff will take on Nathan Jones and save the world. When not fighting off supervillains, he will be seen romancing Jacqueline Fernandez.
So, decide your movie schedules already as the Bollywood August 2016 calendar is very much out. But the big question first: what are you watching on Akshay Kumar’s Rustom vs Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro Friday?
Mohenjo Daro: August 12
Rustom: August 12
Happy Bhaag Jayegi: August 19
A Flying Jatt: August 25
