It is a warm afternoon as we head to Bandra to meet Sanjay Dutt. The actor, dressed in denims and a fitted deep blue shirt looks as ripped as he did as a youngster. The half sleeves give us a glimpse of the huge tattoos. He has an imposing personality, which can make anyone a bit nervous. People discuss how he is a man of few words. Well, the actor is back in films with Omung Kumar’s Bhoomi, which has him play a father who avenges the rape and consequent suicide of his daughter played by Aditi Rao Hydari. The trailer has got a thunderous response and has clocked 13 million views till date. Baba’s back was the buzzword, when the teaser was out.
The excitement around the film is obvious as it got 10 million views in six days. Sanjay was mobbed during the shoot at Agra and people could not shoot due to the fan mania. In the Omung Kumar film, Sanjay is a father in small-town India who is fed up when justice is not given to his daughter. The actor says he knew that fans were excited for his return but did not expect this kind of response. Sanjay, who has been in Bollywood for four decades now is looking to start a new innings with Bhoomi. He is also all praises for co-star Aditi Rao Hydari.
