Race 3 has shattered many records in its first weekend at the ticket windows

Director Remo D’Souza’s Race 3 has shattered many records in its first weekend at the ticket windows. The Salman Khan starrer has become the fastest entrant to the Rs 100 crore club of the year by earning Rs 106.47 crore in just 3 days. With this business, it has surpassed the lifetime business of Race 2 (Rs 102 crore) to become the highest grosser in the Race franchise. The most commendable thing about it is Race 3 has achieved this feat in just three days at the box office. This indeed is a huge benchmark for the Race franchise, and the credit for this goes to the superstardom of Salman Khan among the movie buffs.

Talking about directing Race 3, Remo D’Souza said, “Dance is a comfort zone for me. I am the hero there; but filmmaking is more challenging and that helps me to grow as a creative person.” He further said, “This is challenging to an extent where I, as a director, explored the power of movie stars, technicality, camera angle, great locations, action and choreography that make the characters larger than life. I also explored the power of storytelling where I had to keep the suspense alive till the end. I think the experience of working in this film uplifted me a lot as a creative individual.”

The ace choreographer also said that Race 3 is a treat for every action movie fan. “I am a fan of action movies. With “Race 3″, the thriller part came as a bonus. This genre of film has various elements that include drama, action, superstars like Salman sir, Anil Kapoor sir, Bobby Deol sir… So, the entertainment value is very high. The moment I came to know that I was to be the director of such a film, I was highly excited.” Anyway, do you think the film will cross Rs 200 crore at the box office?
