After months of anticipation, we finally have the teaser for Salman Khan’s Tubelight. Tubelight is said to be a poignant human drama, based against the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China war and also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, Sohail Khan and late Om Puri in the movie. Kabir Khan, with whom Salman Khan gave two blockbusters already in Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, is directing Bhai for the third time here. The teaser showed us how the war affected the locals, especially Salman’s character whose brother seems to go missing in the battle. He is also slow when it comes to his thought-processing, and has that child-like innocence. The teaser also threw a couple of surprise packages in the form of Mahatma Gandhi and a blink and a miss appearance by Shah Rukh Khan.
Oh, you missed that? Won’t blame you! At around 00:47 mins in the teaser, you see a magician on the stage who is doing fire tricks and since he spits fire from his mouth, we can’t see his face. But that is none other than Shah Rukh Khan. We had reported earlier that how Shah Rukh Khan will be having a cameo in the movie, and that he is supposed to be playing a magician who Salman Khan’s character meet when he was a child and leaves an impact in his life. The teaser shows us the glimpse of that scene.

Tubelight is produced by Salman Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, and is scheduled to release on July 23, marking Salman Khan’s regular Eid gift for his fans. Despite the Bajrangi Bhaijaan hangover, we are sure his new movie will be eagerly lapped up by his fans. Though whether it overtakes Baahubali 2’s collections remains to be seen…
