As our source exclusively revealed to us, “The plan initially was to distribute Race 3 with the help of a third party distributor. Co-producer Ramesh Taurani was trying to find a distributor for the film too, but because of the high cost that they were quoting, no one was willing to take it up. There were several companies pitching for the movie, but the price was not right. The makers had thought that if they did not find anyone, they would request Yash Raj Films to distribute the film on a profit sharing basis. But during a discussion, Salman decided to step in and start his own distribution wing in Salman Khan Films with Race 3. Not only will it help him to have direct control and contact with the exhibitors, but he will also maximise his profits.” This will also help him avoid situations like distributors asking for their money back the way it happened during Tubelight. A true masterstroke by the superstar.

Salman Khan has also become the first Khan to venture into distribution, leaving behind Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan in the process. We wonder how they will react to this move by Salman.
