Emraan Hashmi is one worried man currently. His movies are facing failures at box office for quite some time now and not just that, there is no critical backing to it as well. Emraan’s earlier movies like Jannat, The Dirty Picture and Murder 2 had good collections at the box office. However his later choices were a complete disaster as the movies tanked and so did Emraan’s reputation. The Murder star’s last few movies like Azhar, Humari Adhuri Kahaani and Mr X received negative reviews and as a result the success of Raaz Reboot becomes extremely essential for this actor.
Emraan who made his debut with movie Footpath, became an overnight sensation post the release of his movie Murder. He began his career with films which had him kissing his actresses multiple number of times and earned him the serial kisser image. Soon this tag became his identity. However with movies like Dirty Picture, Emraan proved that there is more to him and with its success, he shut up his critics. Raaz Reboot which releases next month, has Emraan starring besides a newcomer Kriti Kharbanda and its trailer has received some good response from the viewers. The movie is a popular franchise and all the previous films under it had a successful run at the box office. He literally owns the horror genre and we can’t complain about it, since he does justice to the movie in his own way.
Though we are not predicting if the movie will click with the audience or no, we can atleast assume the reasons why it might reboot Emraan’s career. Below is the list of five reasons on why we think Raaz Reboot has all the required reasons to put Emraan’s career back on track.
The Return of Emraan to horror genre
Before this movie, Emraan Hashmi’s releases included movies like Humari Adhuri Kahaani, Azhar and Mr X. None of which belonged to this genre whereas Emraan’s Raaz 2 and Raaz 3 had a successful run at the box office. Also what we think is audience is willing to accept Emraan more in such roles which are dark and edgy unlike what he did in Azhar or Mr X. If Raaz Reboot makes it big at the box office, we might see Mr Hashmi attempting only such roles in the future.
Emraan returns to Bhatt camp
The Jannat star’s debut movie in Bollywood was Foothpath which was produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt and directed by Vikram Bhatt. Though the movie didn’t do anything great for the actor, it was his second movie Murder that brought him fame. Since then, Emraan went on a success spree with movies like Jannat, Raaz 2, Raaz 3, Murder 2 which were too made under the Bhatt banner. However his last movie Azhar, produced by Balaji Telefilms, tanked at the box office and hence Raaz Reboot will be like Emraan teaming up with his mentors again. They are the ones who gave him the success initially, they might do it again. Well, we hope they do!
Raaz Reboot might be Emraan’s hat-trick
It seems like the season is good for actors delivering hat – tricks. After Salman did it with Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Sultan, later it was Akshay who did it with Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom. With Raaz Reboot, Emraan too might strike a hat – trick, not with delivering different successful movies back to back but instead delivering a hit in a movies franchise for the third consecutive time. Emraan scored success with Raaz 2 and Raaz 3, hence the fourth movie Raaz Reboot might as well bring him some good luck. Emraan we are sincerely praying for your success!
Raaz’s music has always been a HIT
One of the main reasons why Emraan Hashmi’s movies work is coz of the amazing music tracks that his films carry. Also Raaz as a franchise is extremely lucky when it comes to its music compositions since Raaz had some great music, followed by Raaz 2 and Raaz 3. The makers of Raaz Reboot have released their first song, and it is already gaining momentum. Well we can’t deny the fact that the Azhar star has some karmic connection with music since majority of his movies in the past have had some great compositions like Jannat, Aksar and Zeher to name a few of them. And movies that have good music albums generally do well as their music already creates some curiosity and liking in the minds of the audiences.
Raaz Reboot is a romantic thriller
Emraan’s audiences love it when he kisses his co star on screen coz that’s the image he has. His fans have accepted him when he romances his actresses in movies like Gangster or Zeher as well as in thrillers like Jannat and Murder 2. So Raaz Reboot being a combination of both might do wonders for the actor and his career can bounce back. It is a deadly combination of love story with a supernatural angle to it.
