Cara Delevingne just upgraded your average rainbow hair by trying out some colorful boxer braids! The model and actress showed off her festival-ready beauty look on Instagram, but we’re not sure we’re into this one. Get the details ahead, and vote on Cara’s new look.
Cara Delevingne, 24, has found a new festival hairstyle to try. The Suicide Squad star called on her glam team to come up with a rainbow look before she headed off to Burning Man in Nevada on August 30.
Rocking a makeup-free face, hairstylist Laura Polko put the focus on Cara’s locks with her colorful cornrows style. Creating five braids across Cara’s head, Laura braided blue, pink, purple and green extensions into Cara’s hair for a multi-colored effect.
Laura also created a similar style for Cara’s model sis, Poppy Delevingne, who sported boxer braid pigtails with pale pink and mint green extensions. While we love the rainbow braid idea, we’re not really into how much the extensions stood out and probably would have preferred a color chalk braid instead for a more seamless finish.
But the Delevingne girls aren’t the only ones experimenting with accessorized braids. Khloe Kardashian recently rocked a similar cornrows style with purple hair woven throughout, and Shay Mitchell even wore a dark blue braid for a recent photo shoot thanks to hairstylist Chris Appleton.
