The actress will be the first show stopper of this season…
There has been a lot of buzz about who will be the Bollywood actor or actress that would headline the grand opening of Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016. Many names were floating around, however we can now confirm that Kangana Ranaut would be kickstarting the most prestigious fashion show this season. She will be walking for ace designer Tarun Tahiliani today at a suburban hotel in Mumbai.

While the show was earlier supposed to take place at the St. Xaviers College in Mumbai, the venue has been shifted due to some unknown reasons. The show will be start at 9 pm and we will be covering the event LIVE from the venue. So stay tuned for all the details about the celebs at the show, Kangana’s walk, Tahiliani’s pieces and much more.

Kangana had earlier walked the ramp for Lakme in 2014. Last year too, reports suggested that the Tanu Weds Manu Returns actress would be walking for Tahiliani. Her name was also put on the list of showstoppers, but she didn’t show up. A source had revealed to a daily back then, “A few designers had requested Kangana to walk the ramp for them, but she had expressed her inability to do so. However, the organisers mentioned her name as Tahiliani’s showstopper. So when Chitrangada Singh walked the ramp for him, it took the onlookers by surprise.”

Kangana’s spokesperson had also mentioned, “It was really unfair to put her name in the list when she had clearly mentioned her unavailability.” However, a member of the Lakme Fashion Week told the same tabloid, “The showstoppers often change at the last minute depending on their availability. So we retain all the suggested names of celebrities in the list of our shows. We found out at the last minute that she wouldn’t be able to make it.”
