Angelina Jolie’s father could play a huge role in bringing her and Brad Pitt back together, or at least, Brad hopes he can. The actor has reportedly spoken to Jon Voight about Angie and hopes he can ‘play peacemaker’ between the two of them, as Brad isn’t going to let go of his wife that easily. Read on for the full details!
“Brad [Pitt] has made an effort to make contact and is keen to try and improve the situation between them,” an insider told the Daily Mirror. “He’s hoping his good relationship with Angelina [Jolie]’s family will help to build bridges. He’s spoken to her dad Jon [Voight] and hopes he may be able to play peacemaker. It’s a very tricky time for the family but Brad hasn’t given up hope yet.” But, we don’t know if going to Angie’s dad really will solve that much.

As of Sept. 25, Angelina and the six children she shares with the 52-year-old Allied actor — Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8 — are staying in a house in Malibu that she reportedly rented weeks ago. She has allegedly barricaded them in, and Brad is desperate to see his children. So, could Angie’s dad really come in and make it all better? After all, things have only escalated on a massive scale since the 41-year-old Tomb Raider actress filed for a divorce on Sept. 19, asking for sole physical custody of all the children.

Brad is probably looking for all the help he can get now that he’s dealing with allegations of child abuse and at the same time being accused of cheating. He needs someone in his corner, so we can understand why he’d turn to someone he thinks might have an influence on her. But Jon may not be the best person to go to, after all, Angelina cut all ties with her father for nearly a decade until the two reconciled in 2010. And for the most part he seems to be trying to keep quiet on this one, perhaps trying not to threaten the relationship again. “It’s very sad,” the veteran actor said of the divorce news on Inside Edition on Sept. 20. “Something very serious must have happened for Angie to make a decision like this. I don’t know what it is. Say a little prayer.”
