The world is talking about the horrifying Kathua rape case. After staying mum during the initial coverage of the case, Bollywood celebrities have also started coming out to condemn it, once it became a raging issue in international news as well. After many celebs outraging on social media, Alia Bhatt has also come out and expressed her anger. The actress was promoting the first song, Ae Watan, from her upcoming film Raazi, which has been shot in Kashmir. She was asked by the journalists about her thoughts on the news and she reacted as one would expect. She said that it is a “very disgraceful, shameful and terrible incident.”

Alia further added, “As a girl, as a woman, as an individual, as a resident of this country, I feel very bad and hurt that something like this has happened.” In fact, the actress revealed that reading about the incident in newspapers was overwhelming for her and hence she stopped reading the updates two days back. “I think the more I read it, it makes me more upset, angry and hurt. I hope from my heart that justice is served.
