Birthday boy, Arjun Kapoor, has turned 33 today

Birthday boy, Arjun Kapoor, has turned 33 today. The gen-next star has established himself right from his debut, Ishaqzaade, where he portrayed the character of a local thug named Parma. The star, later on, gave us some impressive performances in films like 2 States, Gunday, Ki And Ka and Mubarakan. However, Arjun had started his career as an assistant director, where he assisted Nikkhil Advani on films like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Salaam-E-Ishq. Still, many of you don’t know that Ishaqzaade was not Arjun’s film as an actor.

Well, Arjun had a cameo in Salaam-E-Ishq, where he played a passenger of taxi-driver, Raju, played by Govinda, but sadly, the actor’s first onscreen outing was chopped off at the editing table. In an earlier interview with us, Arjun Kapoor had shared his experience of working in SEL and said, “There was a phase in my life when I started loving Govinda’s films. So I was lucky that my first day as an actor on a movie set was with him.” The Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar actor also recalled his taxi scene and quoted, “For one of the montages, I played a passenger. In the scene Govinda – a taxi driver – kept falling asleep while driving the car, so I had to ensure he stayed awake. Then I kept falling asleep on his shoulder. It was fun shooting with him.”

On his birthday, we must say that Arjun Kapoor is indeed a multi-talented personality. Talking about the work front, the birthday boy will next be seen in Namaste England opposite Parineeti Chopra. The film is directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and is set to hit the screens October 19 during the Dussehra weekend. The romantic comedy will lock horns with Ajay Devgn’s untitled film and Ayushmann Khurrana’s Badhai Ho at the box office.
