Race 3 continues to achieve milestones at the global box office
Race 3 continues to achieve milestones at the global box office. Despite getting negative reviews, the film is performing very well at the ticket windows. Till now, the stylish action thriller has grossed Rs 177.51 crore (Rs 142.01 crore) in India and Rs 60 crore in the international markets. It currently stands with the grand total of Rs 237.51 crore and is expected to enter the Rs 250 crore by today or tomorrow at the ticket windows.
Talking about the domestic box office, Race 3 has shattered the record of over 35 Bollywood films and is currently the third highest grosser of the year after Padmaavat and Baaghi 2. It will surpass the business of Baaghi 2 by its second weekend to grab the second spot in the list. The film has turned out to Salman’s thirteenth Rs 100 crore film after Dabangg, Dabangg 2, Ready, Bodyguard, Sultan, Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Kick, Jai Ho and Tubelight. Looking at the current trend, we are expecting the film to cross Rs 150 crore mark in its opening week at the box office.
The film has received mixed reviews from all the critics across the country. Our critic Ankita Chaurasia gave the film two and a half stars and said, “Race 3 is a treat for Salman fans but it ends at being just that. There is no reason why you shouldn’t buy the tickets to watch Salman Khan doing what he does best. But if you go in expecting to watch the third film of the Race franchise, you might not be too pleased with the way it has been treated.”
