Being featured on the cover of TIME, dining with the Obamas and walking the Oscar red carpet, Priyanka Chopra has truly given ‘success’ a new definition with her achievements. On top of that, despite being busy with work in the West, she hasn’t lost touch with Bollywood and her audience in India.
Having worked in TV series ‘Quantico’ and her debut Hollywood film ‘Baywatch,’ Priyanka hasn’t just widened her reach but has also grown up as an actor and a person. Her work experience abroad also made her realize as to how Indian films are looked upon at by the Western countries. In an interview with Anupama Chopra, Priyanka revealed that Indian films are not really looked at with as much respect as they should and that they are like spoofs of Hollywood.
She revealed that after working in Hollywood, she denounced the word ‘Bollywood’ as she felt that Hindi film industry was not a me-too of Hollywood and an extremely prolific industry.
