After gaining much acclaim for his performances in films like Masaan and Raman Raghav 2.0, Vicky Kaushal has been touted as the actor who has the capacity to enter the league of actors like Irrfan Khan and Nawazuudin Siddiqui. Vicky’s potential hasn’t gone unnoticed as the actor will be seen in four films in 2018.

Karan Johar, who is producing Vicky’s upcoming film Raazi, is quite impressed with the actor and has decided to collaborate with him in the Bombay Talkies sequel. The 2013 film Bombay Talkies was a collection of four short films where Karan directed Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh starring Rani Mukerji, Randeep Hooda and Saqib Saleem.

The sequel will be a comedy film and this will be the first time when the two artists try their hand at comedy. As per sources, “The series will be an out and out comedy where Karan will unleash his creativity to the brim. Karan approached Vicky after seeing the rushes of Raazi and after giving a screen test, Vicky was selected to play the main lead. The final paperwork is yet to take place next week.”

Karan’s movie will be produced by Ashi Dua and presented by Ronnie Screwvala. For Vicky, it would be an opportunity to prove his mettle and break the stereotype at an early stage of his career.

In 2018, Vicky will be seen in a pivotal role in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dutt biopic. He is also starring alongside Alia Bhatt in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi. Apart from these two, Vicky will also star in a film on the surgical strikes. Vicky is also set to star in Ronnie Screwvala’s Love Per Square Feet.
