Kapil Sharma has been in the news for all the wrong reasons since the start of 2017. First for keeping his guests waiting for a couple of hours, then for cancelling a few shows and now for his huge fight with Sunil Grover. All this has hit Sony TV image very badly and the TRPs of The Kapil Sharma Show have dropped considerably. Keeping all this in mind, the channel issued Kapil Sharma a strict one-month diktat to get his act right. Times of India reported yesterday, how the actor has been instructed to bring back his boycotting team members and up his TRPs. Only then will the channel consider whether to continue the show or not. And looks like, Kapil Sharma has turned around his act straight away.
Yes, from what we hear the actor is a changed man since the whole episode and is trying very hard to make amends. Mumbai Mirror reported today how Kapil shot for a show this Sunday along with Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana for the promotions of Meri Pyaari Bindu. During the shoot, the comedian arrived on time and the show proceeded without glitches. A source from the show revealed how Kapil was trying very hard to put up a good show now. As the source added, “Kapil obliged the crew and Parineeti’s make-up artist with smiling selfies. He also tried to sing ‘Maana Ke Hum‘, Parineeti’s recently launched song. Even during the shoot on Friday, it was evident that the comedian was trying to change things around. He shot for a show with Raveena Tandon and it was hilarious. In fact, the actress even described the shoot as “crazy fun.” Kapil will be shooting a few more episodes for the show till the end of May. The channel is expected to take a decision on whether they want to sign him for another season or not after the show ends. He is currently on a grace period during which he needs to adhere to the timings, be at his best behaviour and maintain decorum on and off the sets for the contract to be renewed. For those of you who don’t know, this whole controversy started after Kapil threw a shoe, abused and slapped Sunil Grover while returning on a flight from Melbourne. Reportedly, the comedian was drunk and angry at his team that they started having food without him. He tried to apologise and sort things out, but Sunil has refused to return to the show even if his fee is doubled. Ali Asgar, Chandan Prabhakar and Sugandha Mishra have also walked out to show solidarity.
