Despite several new releases Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again has managed to survive at the box office. The horror comedy is running in theatres from the past month and continues to add moolah at the ticket windows. The film collected Rs 42 lakh yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 203.93 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collections on his Twitter account. He wrote, “#GolmaalAgain [Week 5] Fri 13 lakhs, 25 lakhs, Sun 42 lakhs. Total: ₹ 203.93 cr.” Since the film hardly has any screens now we can expect it to end its theatrical run by this or next week.

Apart from becoming Ajay Devgn’s and 2017’s highest grosser, Golmaal Again has also entered in the list of top 10 grossers of all time. The list is as follows: Dangal (Rs 387.38 crore), PK (Rs 340.80 crore), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 320.34 crore), Sultan (Rs 300.45 crore), Dhoom 3 (Rs 284.27 crore), Krrish 3 (Rs 244.92 crore), Kick (Rs 231.85 crore), Chennai Express (Rs 227.13 crore), Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Rs 210.16 crore), Golmaal Again (Rs 203.93 crore) Happy New Year (Rs 203 crore). The credit behind the success of the film goes to Rohit Shetty, who despite working with a huge star cast of Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, Tusshar Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and Tabu, has managed to design their individual characters distinctly.

Rohit Shetty, who had taken a risk by taking forward the Golmaal franchise with the horror-comedy genre was very happy with the response and said, “We waited more than seven years for the right subject to take the ‘Golmaal’ franchise forward. What we have achieved is very exciting and humbling, all thanks to the love showered upon us by fans across the globe.” Golmaal Again has been tagged as the best film in the Golmaal franchise by the audience.
