With her razor-sharp wit and no-holds-barred humor, Amy Schumer has changed the face of comedy, starting with Inside Amy Schumer, the show she launched back in 2013. The 35-year-old New Yorker has brought a refreshing sense of play to her red carpet style, too, from the Emmy Awards to mega-fashion events such as the Met Gala (seriously, does it get any more major than that?). Taking a few cues from bestie Jennifer Lawrence, the Trainwreck star favors minimal, body-skimming styles in a clean palette of red, white, and black.

For this year’s Golden Globes ceremony, for example, the actress went grand in Prabal Gurung’s bicolor off-the-shoulder frock; she followed up with a stellar moment at the Met dressed in a floor-sweeping Alexander Wang gown. Schumer knows how to pull off short and sweet designs as well—and she did just that at the Peabody Awards in a menswear-inspired tuxedo dress from BCBG Max Azria.
