We have our eyes set on Priyanka Chopra’s wedding guest list. While we recently heard that the actress has invited the Khans and Kapoors, we are interested to know about the international stars who could make a special appearance at the wedding. Although we’re hoping that Dwayne Johnson and Sophie Turner make it to the grand Indian wedding, we would also like to see Priyanka’s royal friend, Meghan Markle, standby Priyanka’s side at her wedding.
PeeCee fans would remember that she had made a stunning appearance at the royal wedding where Meghan marry Prince Harry. So, we’re keeping our fingers crossed with the expectations that maybe the Duchess of Sussex will return the favour. But do you think she will make it to the wedding? Well, we feel Meghan might not be a part of the wedding party at Priyanka’s wedding. Why? There are several reasons for it.
If you’re thinking that a royal family member cannot attend a friend’s wedding, you, my friend, are wrong. The British royal family doesn’t restrict any family members from attending a friend’s wedding. We saw Meghan join Harry at his friend’s wedding this year. So her absence has nothing to do with the Queen.
But it has to do with her royal status. Given her upgraded lifestyle, there are several security concerns that arise in this situation. The British monarch would have to check if all security is in place. This could be a lot of hassle.
Secondly, Meghan is pregnant. Not that it has stopped her from heading out on the 16-day royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji but it is something the Royals will consider before planning Meghan’s trip to Rajasthan.
But then again, you never know. Maybe Meghan will decide to drop by at Priyanka’s wedding to wish her luck and participate in the activities. After all, the Duchess was excited to know that Priyanka was engaged.
A source told E! News that the Duchess is ‘very excited’ for Priyanka and Nick. “Everyone is very happy and they are definitely a great match,” the insider said. Now let’s just hope she makes it.
Priyanka and Nick are all set to tie the knot on December 2.
