Here’s why Sonakshi Sinha was missing from the Star Parivaar Awards 2017.

Well, Sonakshi Sinha has been in the news a lot lately – be it for calling out to the makers of Nach Baliye 8 indirectly or for skipping the Star Parivaar Awards 2017. The dance reality show judge won the Most Stylish Star award this year but was not present to receive the award. Her absence led to speculations that she had ditched the awards night after giving the organisers a commitment to be present at the function. However, looks like someone gave the media wrong information about the actress’ presence at the event. A source clarified that Sonakshi and her team had never committed to being present at the event.

Sonakshi’s publicist states, “Sonakshi’s management agency did not commit to her presence at the awards. The sources from the event went ahead and informed the media that the actress will be present at the event, which is completely untrue. The actress shot for Nach Baliye on Tuesday as per her schedule and left for a meeting that she had committed to earlier.” We wonder why would someone spread a rumour like this but we are glad that the actress and her team have cleared the air. Sonakshi is currently gearing up for her next with Sidharth Malhotra, titled Ittefaq.

She is also judging the popular dance reality show, Nach Baliye 8. The show will have Ramdev Baba as a celebrity guest and you will see the actress indulging in a short yoga lesson with the guru. In fact, we also hear that the yogi got Sonakshi’s name wrong on the show and called her Meenakshi instead. Now that’s definitely worth watching! Apart from that, Aashka Goradia’s boyfriend, Brent Goble, also flaunts his yoga moves with Ramdev Baba. The upcoming episodes of the dance reality show are going to get more competitive as the evicted contestants will be competing against each other to come back in the competition as wild card contestants.
