ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD – Yes it is indeed the 9th Film by Quentin Tarantino, and it is excellent. Both Leonardo di Caprio & Brad Pitt are exceptional, and have great chemistry and camaraderie on the big screen together. Tarantino’s film are usually verbose, and have subplots with sequences that go from past to present, and in this one he perfects his style in this genre of film making,    Set in the late 60’s in Hollywood, and TV shows that focused on Western Cowboy themes, where there was always a need of a stunt double for the hero. Brad Pitt plays the stunt double with a dark past, while. Caprio plays “Rick Dalton”, whose career is sinking. He gets advice to do “Spaghetti Westerns” in Italy. With great hesitation, he obliges. The film has some zany situations, where celebrity neighbors live side by side, but do not get the chance to meet.       The film poetically shows that the film industry can make many vulnerable, and everyone is seeking some kind of recognition. If not one way, then through another way. There are some great innovative scenes that will delight you, and has a wild climax that will shock you. But on the other hand, I did feel Margot Robbie as the neighbor – pretend star, and as director Roman Polanski’s guest was not fully developed. Also I have a question, what is up with all the Hippie girls bare feet up at the ranch?? What fetish is Tarantino trying to say and expose?    But back to the era of 1969 in “ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD” is indeed a very much Oscar worthy film, and gets a well deserved 4 star recommendation. – A Must see!! – (Courtesy BEING FILMY).
