Because sexy never goes out of style.

We have to break it to you, Bollywood celebrities don’t wake up looking fabulous, they have their very own cheat sheet and we’re unravelling it just for you:

1. Never leave home without your brows on

Believe it or not, your eyebrows are the most important feature of your face. Want to get Deepika Padukone’s incredibly fabulous look? Never EVER step out of your house without filling in your brows.

Pro Tip: Never use a black pencil/powder to fill in your brows, stick to using deeper shades of brown.

2. Make those tear ducts pop

Use a tiny bit of highlighter or a neutral gold eyeshadow in the inner corners of your eye. It’ll make your eyes look bigger and more awake. Who doesn’t like a fresh face?

Pro Tip: Don’t use a product that sparkles. Use something that has a subtle sheen.

3. Nude Kohl > Black Kohl

Want your eyes to look bigger, better and wider? Never use black kohl in your waterline, use a nude pencil instead. Line your lower lashes with whichever colour you please. Instant eye makeover!

Pro Tip: A White eye pencil looks way too stark, make sure you use a beige or nude shade.

4. Curl To Unfurl Your Inner Goddess

Invest in an eyelash curler and even if you skip the mascara, you’ll look like you have va-va voom lashes.

Pro Tip: Use the curler as close to the root of the lashes as possible. If possible, warm the eyelash curler with a hairdryer for the curl to last all day.

5. Make Primer Your Best Friend Forever

Want your makeup to last all day without creasing or budging, head to the store right now and buy a face primer. It is literally magic in a tube.

Pro Tip: Make sure you use your primer where you get most oily. A good bet is to get most of the product on your T-Zone.

6. Blend Till You Drop

Whether it’s your foundation, concealer, bronzer or eyeshadow, make sure you blend everything till it looks absolutely seamless. No one likes harsh lines anywhere on their face.

Pro Tip: Never use too much product at one go. Build as you go along and blend in circular motions.

7. Matte > Shimmer

Whether it’s for a day or night look, matte is always more flattering and forgiving than shimmer. If you’re looking to nail the Alia or Shraddha “natural” look, then you’re better off sticking to matte based products.

Pro Tip: If you like a dewy finish, add a luminizer or highligher on the high points of your face once you’re done with your makeup.

8. Work From Day To Night

If you’re looking to head to a party after school, ensure that you use only one colour palette, darken your eyes with kohl and add a deeper lip colour to go from day to glam, instantly.

Pro Tip: A neutral colour scheme works best for a day to night look

9. Moisturizer + Foundation = Thank Us Later

Want your face to look flawless without looking like you’ve tried too hard? We hear you! All you need to do is mix your favourite foundation with your moisturizer and viola – you have a nice tinted moisturizer that’ll look gorgeous.

Pro Tip: Mix in small quantities till you get the desired colour and consistency.

10. Match your face not your arm

Unless you’re wearing your foundation on your arm, you need to match it to your face. Apply a swatch of the product to your jawline and it should blend in to your face and neck.

Pro Tip: Ensure that your foundation matches your neck or it’ll look like you’re wearing a mask.

11. Mascara is god’s gift to mankind

Want to look perky without putting in too much effort? Swipe on two coats on mascara on your peppers and you’re good to go.

Pro Tip: Use volumnizing mascara to get full, thick lashes and wiggle the wand from root to tip to ensure there are no clumps.

12. Ditch The Black, Use Brown

Instead of heading for the age old black smokey eye, try using shades of brown instead. Not only will it make your eyes pop, you’ll look fresh faced too.

Pro Tip: Brown smokey eyes are perfect for the day
