Title suggestions for Shah Rukh Khan’s next film with Imtiaz Ali
Salman Khan announced the release date of Shah Rukh Khan’s next film. In no time a film with no title has become the most trending topic in India. We know Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma had been shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s next in the picturesque cities of Prague, Amsterdam, Budapest and that the working title of this film was The Ring, but it was time and again made clear that this won’t be the final title. And seriously how can you call a romantic film The Ring without it reminding everyone of the popular Hollywood horror flick! The hunt for the film’s title is still on and it seems like suggestions are welcomed by SRK with open arms, much like his signature pose. Salman, as a good friend, did announce the release date of the film to be 11 August, 2017 but asked SRK to come up with a title himself. And SRK is asking fans and friends to find a title.

We wonder what is all this thing with the title? Is Imtiaz Ali again going to hold a public voting session for this SRK-Anushka film, like he did for Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s Jab We Met. Yep, in case you did not know, Jab We Met title was picked out by the fans for the film. If it happens again that would be so awesome!

But as long as the makers and cast are taking suggestions we would like to chip in. We would like to suggest a few.

Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum

We know Imtiaz Ali likes to keep his titles short and crisp, but this might just be the one breaking that streak. Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum not only suits the film about a tour guide and a tourist but was also a rejected title of a SRK film. Jab Tak Hai Jaan was, reportedly, called Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum during pre-production. So that is one title just sitting there waiting to be used.

Guide

Rockstar, Imtiaz’s’ earlier film picked its title from an old Hindi film. Also, Tamasha’s working title was Window Seat, which again was the name of a Hindi classic. So taking names from the Old is Gold era is totally an option. and what better than the hit Waheeda Rehman – Dev Anand’s Guide. It has that beautiful nostalgic ring to it and goes perfectly with the plot.

Phir Se Ud Chala

Taking names from the songs of their previous films is not a new thing for Bollywood directors. Phir Se Ud Chala was a hit song from Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rockstar. It’s melodic, it’s poetic, it’s crisp! This needs to be used as a title for a film, even if not for the SRK-Anushka starrer.
