Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is continuing set new benchmarks at the worldwide box office thanks to its good collections in the Chinese market. Till today afternoon, the cross-border social drama has collected Rs 74.75 crore in China and with the help these collections it now stands with the grand total of Rs 701 crore at the worldwide box office. Bajrangi Bhaijaan has become the fifth Indian film to achieve the Rs 700 crore mark globally after Dangal, Baahubali 2, Secret Superstar and PK.
Looking at the current performance, we are expecting Bajrangi Bhaijaan to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in China. The film is the widest Bollywood release there with 8000 screens beating Secret Superstar and Dangal. Directed by Kabir Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is released as Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle in China. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Harshali Malhotra in pivotal roles. At the domestic market, the film has collected Rs 320.34 crore and is one of the highest Bollywood grossers of all time.

Given the success of Indian film releases in China, the studio and the makers are confident of the movie’s box office potential in China, one of more promising international markets for Indian films. Recognising the significant market opportunity in China, Eros and director Kabir Khan are once again coming together for a travel drama, “The Zookeeper” (working title) under its franchise studio Trinity. It will be shot in Hindi and Mandarin languages.
