Congratulations Ankit!

February seems to be the wedding month of 2018. We just heard yesterday that Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim are getting married by this month end, and now is the good news of composer – singer Ankit Tiwari tying the knot. As per a Mumbai Mirror report, the singer, best known for his work in Aashiqui 2 is getting hitched to Pallavi, a mechanical engineer. He is known for his songs, Teri Galliyan (Ek Villain) and Sunn Raha Hai Na Tu (Aashiqui 2). There is also an interesting story behind how he found the perfect match, or rather how his Daadi spotted her. It seems she was travelling from Kanpur to Delhi, where she met the perfect girl for her perpetually busy grandson. The girl gelled beautifully with his daadi and she felt she was the one for Ankit. Matters took their due course, and now Ankit is getting married to Pallavi Shukla on February 23. And engagement is happening on the 20th. As per the tabloid, the wedding rituals are happening in Kanpur. A reception is scheduled for the 26th. A reception will be hosted in Mumbai for industry friends by the families after Ankit has finished his work commitments. Ankit’s older brother Ankur told the tabloid, “Usually weddings in our family last 10-12 days, but Ankit doesn’t have the time. His shows are booked months in advance and we worked around his dates.” It seems the girl’s parents were not willing to share a snap of Pallavi before the wedding. In a conversation, Ankit told the publication, “Once dadi announced that Pallavi would be the family’s daughter-in-law, everyone agreed. I’m happy that the family is happy and a little nervous too. She is a very sweet and simple girl. During our first meeting there were 10 others seated between us.” She has been working in Bengaluru for the past 10 years. She will shift to Mumbai post her wedding.
